Bump and Baby Photography

Baby and bump photography is great fun.

It's so exciting waiting to see the reactions on the little faces of babies and children as the shutter opens - will they sit still? Will they smile? Will they cry? Some parents even put off a portrait photograph for fear of a bit of misbehaviour - but we've seen it all, over and over.

The results are always wonderful.

Often the hard part is trying to choose your favourites to be displayed on the wall!

When you have seen some of our photographs you will naturally be looking for our prices.

Photography pricing can be complicated and we believe it's important to make it simple. We have very simple pricing - a studio session price and a location session price, all based on 1 hour. If you need more - just add it on to the price.

When is the best time for bump photography?

From around 28 weeks is when we see the best results - and then any time. Sometimes the best results come at 35 weeks, and if you can bring your partner with you it's even better.

Many mums have just one bump photography session, to record that really special time, but if you can fit in a few sessions it will give you a photographic record to last forever and we can make a composite photograph to show off how much your little bundle of joy has developed.

Please bring your own choice of clothing, maybe a special maternity dress such as in these photographs, and many mums choose to have photographs in their underwear which allows bump to be lit and shown off to perfection.

What age is the best age for baby photographs

As a daddy to 3 amazing daughters I've learned that every age is the best age.

Newborn babies from 2 weeks are such a delight to pose, their expressions are more important than the smiles they can do as older babies and it's great to capture photographs of little finger and toes!

From 3 months babies really offer a variety of options for posing and expressions - sometimes smiling, sometimes sleepy, and always surprising!

Photographing your baby in different positions allows you the opportunity to create some gorgeous wall collections to make a talking point.

Bump photography

Bring your best maternity underwear and a selection of outfits which allow you and your bump to truly shine.

Mums-to-be are usually very proud to show off their bump to the camera, we will usually experiement with lighting to create a truly unique look and experience for you and to offer a good variety of shots for your wall and for an album.
Baby photography

Bring a feed for baby and your own snacks too if you like! and prepare for baby to sleep, feed, cry, smile, burp and everything in between.

Baby and family will be photographed in a variety of poses and positions and usually against at least 2 different style of background which will allow for the creation of baby's first album - or perhaps you may want to add the first baby photographs to the bump album.
